Safety
Is it safe?
Every flight is supervised by a trained operator who can take control or land at any moment. The drone flies only inside a pre-cleared, geofenced envelope, with obstacle-aware return-to-home and redundant communication links.
What happens if something goes wrong?
The aircraft is built to fail safe. If a link drops or an obstacle appears, it returns to home automatically. An operator monitors every flight and can intervene or land immediately.
What are the weather limits?
Flights only run inside safe wind and visibility limits — wind resistance is around level 5 (roughly 38 km/h). If conditions move outside them, we don't fly, and you rebook.
Regulation & airspace
Is this legal?
Skychaser operates inside defined, permitted low-altitude airspace — worked through with the relevant regulator for each site (in our launch market, that means CAAC and HKCAD rules) — and flies supervised inside a geofenced corridor it cannot leave.
How high does it fly?
Within a 50–200 m flight corridor for guided and acrobatic flights, and 50–120 m for group flights, with an operational ceiling of 4,000 m. It won't fly above 200 m or below 30 m near the public.
Where does it fly?
Along pre-cleared routes over the destination's landmarks, inside a geofenced envelope. The drone is confined to that airspace by design.
Accessibility
Can wheelchair users fly?
Yes. The experience is designed for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. It's seated throughout, with no climb, no transfer beyond your own chair, and no physical exertion.
Is there an age limit?
The flight suits a wide range of ages, with standard VR-headset guidance for younger flyers. Tell us any specific access needs when you book and we'll plan the flight around them.
I get motion sickness, or I'm photosensitive — is it for me?
The live head-tracked view is designed to feel natural, and you can pause or stop at any time. We share VR-comfort and photosensitivity guidance ahead of your flight so you can decide what's right for you.
Booking
How do I book?
Public booking opens as sites launch. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know when flights open near you.
Can groups fly together?
Yes. Voyager synchronises up to thirty headsets on a single flight — built for school groups, tours and events who want to experience a place together.
How long is a flight?
Up to 15 minutes in the air, plus time to get set up in the headset first. Weather can cut a flight a little shorter.
Technology
What is eMR?
Extended mixed reality. We fuse two mature technologies — FPV drones and virtual reality — into a single live experience of flight.
Is it real flight or a simulation?
Real flight. A real drone flies over the real place, and its live view is streamed to your headset in first person — not a pre-rendered tour.
Do I control the drone?
On Explorer, yes — you steer along guided waypoints with an operator supervising. Voyager and Maverick are flown by an expert pilot while you ride along in first person.
